Ever since Barack Obama announced the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden, many in the media have sought commentary from former President George W. Bush. ABC News is reporting that, during an appearance Wednesday at a conference of hedge fund managers in Las Vegas, the Bush made his first candid public comments on the killing of bin Laden saying “The guy is dead. That is good.”

George W. BushCover of George W. BushThe Borowitz Report has obtained an advance copy of former President George W. Bush’s memoir, entitled I Can Has Prezidensy.  Here are some highlights:

– The book contains a “Where’s Waldo?” foldout section with WMDs.

– Bush says the biggest disappointment of his eight years in office was learning there was no Santa Claus

– The book’s appendix includes a series of connect-the-dot drawings Bush was unable to complete

In NBC Interview, Bush Calls Kanye's On-Air Insult Worst Moment of Presidency (Media Mob)

Cover of "Decision Points"Cover of Decision Points November 3, 2010

In anticipation of the Nov. 9 release of his memoir Decision Points, George W. Bush will sit down with Matt Lauer for a prime-time news special this Monday to talk over the experiences relayed in the book. In the excerpts released yesterday in a press release, the NBC anchor grilled the ex-head of state on the memoir's key moments — namely 9/11, the Iraq War, Hurricane Katrina, etc.

But which of these events — all of them defining disasters of this millennium — does Bush consider the worst moment of his presidency? None, actually! It seems Bush is the latest victim of the cutting disses Kanye West can sneak into his nimble, dexterous flow. The offending quip, of course, was West's assertion, on an NBC Katrina telethon, that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Bush admits that 'Ye burned him hard.

‘My Girl’s A Republican’ Rap Song Mines Double Entendre From Every Big Conservative Figure (Mediaite)

November 1st, 2010

It’s an old complaint that you hear all the time: “Political discourse in this country is fascinating…but can you dance to it?” Fortunately, thanks to The Real, you now can. The group has released a new song and video entitled “My Girl’s a Republican” that’s catchy and hilarious enough to keep you dancing all the way to voting booth tomorrow.

The Real is a “hip hop sketch comedy” group (a typical video parodies “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” by using the story of Dr. Dre’s Detox, the rap world’s Chinese Democracy). For the song, they’ve basically taken every conservative figure or scandal from the past few years and mashed them together for a pun and double entendre-filled ode to the character, wiles, and sexual prowess of a sexy Sister Grizzly. It’s accompanied by an equally entertaining video which uses homemade effects, singing Glenn Beck, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Rudy Guiliani heads to showcase the song in (what appears to be) one take.

You think your family is dysfunctional? Try this: Ancestry.com is announcing that President Barack Obama, radio host Rush Limbaugh, and Twitter star Sarah Palin are related. The genealogy website determined that Obama and Palin are tenth cousins through common ancestor John Smith (you know, the one), while Obama and Limbaugh are also tenth cousins via Richard Terrell. Just in time for the holidays!

Jesse Ventura sees 'American Conspiracies' in places Mr. Media only sees incompetence

By BOB ANDELMAN

Jesse Ventura came to national prominence as a wrestler nicknamed “The Body,” took a turn on the silver screen in Predator with Ah-nuld, and even went by “Governor” for a term.

Now he’s bidding for you and me to start thinking of him as “The Brain.”

Don’t get me wrong; Ventura hasn’t asked anyone to call him that—yet. But reading his new book, American Conspiracies, it’s clear he’s given considerable thought to the real story behind some of this country’s most nagging unsolved mysteries.

Whether you believe what he believes or think he’s nuts, a reader of American Conspiracies can’t deny Ventura has thought out his positions on everything from the Kennedy assassinations and 9/11 to the world financial collapse we’re just starting to come out from under.

I should mention this is ground also covered in his new TV show, TruTV’s “Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura,” every Wednesday at 10 p.m.

Not that Ventura is all drama and no fun these days. Anyone who’s caught him on the radio with Howard Stern knows he’s just as comfortable talking smack about Hulk Hogan and telling wild stories about his days as a Navy SEAL as he is discussing conspiracies.
Hear it now!GOV. JESSE VENTURA AUDIO EXCERPT: "I took the side of the conspiracy. We brought out the facts; ultimately, it's up to the reader to decide. It's called 'learning the truth.' And if the truth causes panic, we're in big trouble."
