Glenn Beck And Bill O’Reilly Spar Over Who The Leader Of America Is (Mediaite)

Whenever Glenn Beck and Bill O’Reilly appear together, it doesn’t take long to find an issue on which they disagree (for example, O’Reilly is not overly concerned about the biblical vermin invading the White House). On last night’s Beck “casual Friday” appearance on The O’Reilly Factor, they delivered their classic banter, this time on why Beck thinks he is not the leader of the Tea Party movement nor Barack Obama the leader of America.

O’Reilly names Beck, along with Sarah Palin, as leaders of the Tea Party movement in his new book, Pinheads and Patriots. Beck first takes issue with calling famous left-wing donation machine and conservative Bogeyman George Soros a “pinhead” (“if Soros is in it,” Beck offers, best to “rename it Angels and Demons”). “You and I are in simpatico on this one,” O’Reilly offers hopelessly, trying to explain the issue is one of semantics. Then Beck reads an excerpt from the book referring to him, and objects to the label “Tea Party leader”– “I’m not leading it.”

September 14, 2010

After a few weeks of hemming and hawing, Fox News has agreed to air a 30-second commercial, produced by Media Matters, disclosing to prime-time viewers News Corp.’s $1 million donation to the Republican Governors Association.

The spot will air during Tuesday’s “O’Reilly Factor,” according to Media Matters.

Fox had initially refused to run the ad because of objections to language -- specifically, that News Corp. had refused to disclose the donation to Fox viewers.

The edited version (above) states introduces the ad is “about a story that's not yet been covered on Fox News primetime.”

Ann Coulter And Laura Ingraham Discuss “Save The Whale, Abort The Baby” Environmentalists (Mediaite)

September 2nd, 2010

Ann Coulter and O’Reilly Factor guest host Laura Ingraham made some really good points tonight while discussing Discovery Channel hostage taker James Jay Lee. Coulter said that we can’t generalize fans of Al Gore just because one of them went crazy while Ingraham admonished Liberals for generalizing Conservatives whenever another tragedy happens and the shoe’s on the other foot. Of course, these good points were slightly muddied by all the comments around them about how all environmentalists want a world without humans and love earthworms more than people and so on and so forth.
