(Newser) – An author on a mission to prove President Obama is a fraud asserts that a widely circulated photo of Barack Obama with his grandparents is a fake. In his YouTube video, Jack Cashill explains that Obama has been Photoshopped to appear between his grandparents, and he offers up what he says is the "original" Obama-less photo as proof. Trouble is, as Media Matters delights in pointing out, you can still see Obama's knee between them. (The rest of his body has magically disappeared, though.)

Donald Trump on Today: I Have People in Hawaii Researching Obama’s Birth (New York Magazine)

4/7/11

Just when you thought Donald Trump couldn't ramp up his birtherism any more, this morning on the Today show he announced he has "people who have been studying it, and they cannot believe what they are finding." Startled, interviewer Meredith Vieira asked if Trump meant he had researchers on the ground in Hawaii, and he responded, "Absolutely." The Donald, apparently, is not a believer in fellow potential GOP candidate Mike Huckabee's philosophy, which is that if there was something to find in Hawaii, Hillary Clinton's people would have found it. (That sounds about right to us.)

TALLAHASSEE — A little thing happened in the Florida House two weeks ago. A Democrat from Orlando said "uterus" during a floor debate.

No one much noticed, or cared, until word leaked that Republicans told Democrats they couldn't say the word.

Now people can't stop saying it.

Angry with cuts to education? Democrats say uterus.

Don't like giving Gov. Rick Scott more power? Uterus.

Upset with the way the Legislature is treating unions? Uterus!

Fox finally dumps Tea Party conservative blowhard Glenn Beck, but for the wrong reasons (New York Daily News)

Political commentator Glenn Beck at the Time 1...Glenn Beck, image via WikipediaEmailTwitterFacebookLinkedInYoutube

April 7th 2011

Good riddance, crowed anybody even slightly left of John Birch Wednesday at the news that Glenn Beck had lost his nightly Fox TV show.

Officially, Beck "intends to transition off of his daily program," both the blowhard and his bosses at Fox said Wednesday.

But the writing was on his chalkboard: The ratings were down - he was pulling in 2.7 million last year at this time, and that number is down below 2 million.

Young viewers were bolting.

And advertising drying up.

In effect, the tea party is over.
